Coach Scherer:
Erik Scherer will coach the pitchers and serve as bench coach. He spent the 1997-99 seasons as a varsity assistant at Chaminade College Preparatory School in West Hills. The Eagles won the Mission League (ML) title in 1997 with a 10-2 ML mark and finished 27-3 overall and reached the CIF semifinals. The Eagles were also CIF playoff participants in the 1998 and 1999 seasons. In addition, he served as the assistant varsity coach at Desert High School in Edwards during the 1996 season.
Scherer was a member of the CLU baseball program from 1992 through 1995, serving as an undergraduate assistant coach during the 1995 season.
A 1995 graduate of CLU, Scherer received a master's degree with an emphasis in physical education from Azusa Pacific University in July 2000. Scherer is a middle school te4acher at Colina Intermediate School in Thousand Oaks.
