Coach Slimak:
In his 15th season as the helm of the CLU baseball team, Marty Slimak is in his eighteenth season as a member of the CLU coaching staff. He entered the 2007 season with an overall record of 388-196 5.
In only his third season as the Kingsmen head coach, Slimak piloted CLU to the NCAA Division III championship game and to within three outs of winning the program’s inaugural national championship. Along the way, Slimak helped the Kingsmen to their eighth Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championship in ten seasons. The CLU baseball program has been to ten NCAA III Western Regional and five World Series appearances.

Coach Riley:
Roy Riley is entering his second season as an assistant coach at CLU. Riley has been part of the CLU baseball program for the last four years. He played for the Kingsmen '03-'05 and became an asstant for the '06 season. Riley graduated from CLU in 2006 with a degree in Communications.
Riley came to CLU from Barstow Community College where he was a two time All Foothill Conference player. While at Barstow Community College he also set two school records, hits in a season and hits in a career.
He also works for CLU Safety and Security.

Coach Scherer:
Erik Scherer will coach the pitchers and serve as bench coach. He spent the 1997-99 seasons as a varsity assistant at Chaminade College Preparatory School in West Hills. The Eagles won the Mission League (ML) title in 1997 with a 10-2 ML mark and finished 27-3 overall and reached the CIF semifinals. The Eagles were also CIF playoff participants in the 1998 and 1999 seasons. In addition, he served as the assistant varsity coach at Desert High School in Edwards during the 1996 season.
Scherer was a member of the CLU baseball program from 1992 through 1995, serving as an undergraduate assistant coach during the 1995 season.
A 1995 graduate of CLU, Scherer received a master's degree with an emphasis in physical education from Azusa Pacific University in July 2000. Scherer is a middle school te4acher at Colina Intermediate School in Thousand Oaks.
